I think Bassets are wonderful. Such characters and natural comedians too.

When I was drawing this handsome fellow I became fascinated with his feet. They reminded me of ancient dinosaurs

or aliens feet! They really do balance on the ball of their feet more than any other dog I have seen.

They look so unhappy most of the time and yet they easily get “the sillies” and love to play.
