The Australian Koala Foundation has announced that  Koalas are now functionally extinct due to deforestation. So sad!

When I was in Australia I managed to see one up close and it fascinated me.I remember my father brining me a stuffed Koala Bear back from a trip when I was a child and I was fascinated from then on.

I always thought they lived throught Australia but infact they live in Queensland – the east coast only. My Australian friends call them “Drop Bears” because they are known to fall out of the trees drunk from eating all that eucalyptus. Wild!
